We are an engineering consulting firm working on infrastructure and industrial projects in northeastern Ontario. Our team works closely with municipal and private clients, designing projects and supporting the procurement process. Our New Liskeard office is home to a dedicated group of 8 engineers/project managers and 25 employees. Our office has a range of staff including CAD draft persons, Civil and Mechanical Engineers, Surveyors, Technicians and Technologists, and support staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

·         Lead civil design and reviews for municipal infrastructure (roads, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater, foundations) ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

·         Prepare and approve engineering documents: calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and tender packages.

·         Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules; provide progress reporting and risk management.

·         Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients, municipalities, regulators, landowners, and utilities.

·         Perform QA/QC and mentor staff, review contractor proposals and deliverables for compliance.

·         Support construction activities: RFIs, submittals, site inspections, commissioning, and as-builts.

·         Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments; evaluate alternative technical solutions.

·         Ensure seamless integration across disciplines and maintain effective client communication.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; P. Eng license in Ontario (or eligibility).

·         10+ years of civil engineering experience (municipal infrastructure, roads, bridges, water resources).

·         Extensive knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards (municipal, provincial, federal; TAC, AASHTO, CSA, Canadian Building Code, environmental compliance).

·         Proficiency in civil design software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads; BIM and GIS tools.

·         Strong expertise in municipal servicing, road design, grading, drainage, and water resource management; experience with preliminary and final design.

·         Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders, municipalities, and regulators.

·         Excellent communication and client-facing skills; proven ability to facilitate meetings and workshops.

·         Project management experience: scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk management.

·         Field experience: site inspections, compliance reviews, and construction support.

·         Knowledge of asset management principles for municipal infrastructure (asset considered).
