Northern Therapy Clinic is a community-based mental health practice serving Kirkland Lake and the surrounding Temiskaming region. As demand for assessment services continues to grow locally, we are expanding our team and looking for a psychometrist to support psychological and psychoeducational assessments in our clinic, under a registered psychologist.
This is an opportunity to provide specialized services close to home, reducing the need for families in our region to travel long distances for care.
About the Role
This role focuses on the administration and scoring of standardized assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, working alongside a supervising psychologist.
We are prioritizing candidates who are::
- Based in or near Kirkland Lake, Temiskaming Shores, Englehart, or surrounding communities
- Interested in part-time, flexible contract work
- Looking to focus on assessments and report writing
What You’ll Do
- Administer standardized assessments (e.g., cognitive, academic, behavioural, ADHD tools)
- Score assessments and organize data for interpretation
- Document behavioural observations during testing
- Assist with report preparation and data integration
- Collaborate with a psychologist and clinical team

Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
- Experience with assessment, testing, or working in educational/clinical settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured protocols
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Strong Assets
- Experience in a school board, hospital, or assessment clinic
- Familiarity with tools such as WISC-V, WIAT-III, WAIS-IV, BASC-3
- Experience supporting or contributing to assessment reports
Role Details
- Contract position (hourly or per-assessment)
- Primarily in-person in Kirkland Lake, with some flexibility for remote work (scoring/report support)
- Part-time and flexible based on availability
