Abilities & Qualifications:
• · Education in accounting field or equivalent experience
• · Experience in QuickBooks is mandatory (3 years Minimum)
• · Experience with MS Office
• · Extensive computer skills
• · Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• · Excellent organizational and time management skills
• · Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
• Use QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping duties including payroll, GST and PST remittances, bank deposits, AP, AR, purchase orders, monthly reports, and preparing year-end financials
• Track POs to ensure invoice accuracy from vendors
• Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare the year-end financial statements
• Personal bookkeeping for owner (home office files, personal deposits, gathering info for personal taxes)
General Office Operations:
• Maintain office supplies, including online ordering, shopping, errands
• Overseeing incoming and outgoing communications (emails, phone calls, walk-in clients, reports, internal correspondence)
• Office management including arranging IT resources, managing phone systems
• Manage Receiver General, WCB and company benefits program
• Maintain records of insurances and licenses
