Maintenance/Facilities Manager - Northwaters & Langskib - Temagami, ON

Northwaters & Langskib is excited to welcome a dedicated and proactive Maintenance & Facilities Manager to our Lake Temagami island base camps this summer. This full-time, seasonal position runs June through August/September. The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for caring for our grounds and facilities.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a mature, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a broad maintenance and repair skillset, be comfortable living in a communal summer camp environment, and enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic, nature-focused setting.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with small engine maintenance and repair.
  • Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Proficiency in mechanical tasks and chainsaw operation.
  • A clean driver’s license.
  • The physical fitness to navigate rugged terrain.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance checks.
  • Efficient inventory and supply management.
  • Capability to work independently and supervise unskilled labor.
  • Comfortable working with vendors and suppliers.
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card and motorboat handling proficiency.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, but Not Required)

  • Advanced carpentry and/or boat-building skills.
  • Advanced mechanical expertise.
  • Previous experience in remote facilities management.
  • Certification as a trained water system operator.
  • F Class Driver’s License.
  • Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) Certification.

Contract Details

  • Preferred start date: June 1, 2025.
  • Duration: June 1 – August 20, 2025 (potential to extend through September 30).
  • Flexibility for time off during non-peak periods, with extended shifts during busier times.
