Northern College is seeking an Invigilator in our Business and Community Development department. The successful candidate will be patient and possess organizational skills, effective communication skills (verbal and written), and time management skills. They will also possess strong problem-solving skills, and computer skills. As well as the ability to work independently or as a team.

Reporting to the Director of Training, Community Development and Risk Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for classroom management responsibilities (i.e. attendance taking, etc.)

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare test room, organize seating plan, affix labels to desks, and posts all signage and notices;
  • Register candidates, checking identification upon arrival; handles impersonation and non-registered candidates with sensitivity and caution;
  • Check candidate numbers as they appear on test papers with the candidate numbers of the desks of individual candidates;
  • Ensure no unauthorized materials are taken into the examination room and no examination materials are taken out of the room by candidates;
  • Monitor room carefully for cheating/malpractice; and
  • Immediately report any suspected breaches of security concerning the test to the Test Supervisor or Administrator, as appropriate.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent; and
  • Up to one year of experience.

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal record check.
