The Corporation of the Township of Casey is seeking a Road Superintendent (Full-Time Position)

Hours of Work:  40 hours per week
Compensation:  $31.76 to $37.06/hr.

Location:  Public Works Garage - 981548 Belle Vallee Road, Belle Vallee ON  P0J 1A0

Qualifications:

• Secondary School Diploma
• Valid DZ License (minimum)
• Grader Operator experience
• Wastewater Operator Class 1 & 2 (or ability to acquire within a specified time)
• 5 years experience in a road operation/construction environment

*The Township may consider a different combination of education and experience where appropriate.

The Township of Casey is seeking qualified applicants for the position of "Road Superintendent". This is a full-time position. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, construction, and/or repair work related to the roads, ditches, equipment, etc. You will also proficiently operate various types of equipment such as a grader, tractor, loader, light and heavy-duty trucks, snow plowing equipment and various other types of motorized equipment.

The candidates will plan and organize their own work; Will respond to winter road, or culvert emergency work; Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to avoid operational interruptions; Inspect roads for sanding or plowing during winter events; Follow standard safety procedures and regulations; Keep work, time and material records; Report work to Council; Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and materials and advise Municipal Council on project priorities.

Experience with various types of heavy equipment including dump trucks, snow ploughs, loaders, and graders is required. You should have the ability to operate various hand and power equipment/tools; have excellent interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication, public relations and problem-solving skills Bilingualism is considered an asset.
