The Straight Truck Delivery Driver/Parcel Driver is responsible for completing all types of freight deliveries and pickups within the terminal vicinity. Work and cooperate with all external and internal customers to ensure a high level of customer service. Complete all paperwork as required for this position. Other duties include:

• Cooperate with all customers to maintain a high level of customer service
• Perform efficient local pickups and deliveries in the service area
• Handle and move freight packages with care not to damage freight
• Safely operate and perform routine pre and post checks of equipment
• Complete all necessary shipping documents to ensure proper freight handling using electronic device
• Commit to perform all work in a safe manner and comply with all Gardewine safe work policies, practices and procedures
• Perform other duties as required to support City Dispatch and fellow drivers

Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to perform physical requirements of this type of work. Valid Ontario Class G Drivers License in good standing. (or Equivalent depending on Province). Experience with all types of pickup and delivery activities, and the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Physically you need to be able to drive the truck safely, move and lift up to 50lbs.
